Welcome to Corveno. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Corveno website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service"). Please read these Terms carefully before using our Service.

By accessing or using Corveno, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using Corveno, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Corveno ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Eligibility and Age Requirements

2.1 Minimum Age Requirement

You must be at least 15 years of age to use Corveno. By using our Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 15 years old. If you are under 15 years of age, you are not permitted to use the Service under any circumstances.

2.2 Parental Consent

If you are between 15 and 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you represent that you have obtained consent from a parent or legal guardian to use this Service, and that your parent or legal guardian has read and agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

2.3 Accuracy of Information

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Description of Service

3.1 Service Overview

Corveno is an artificial intelligence-powered career and education assistance platform that provides tools including, but not limited to:

  • Cover letter generation
  • Resume scoring and analysis
  • College application essay assistance
  • Scholarship essay writing assistance
  • Professional email generation
  • Salary negotiation email assistance
  • Application tracking and management
  • Career planning tools

3.2 AI-Generated Content

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING AI-GENERATED CONTENT:

All content generated by Corveno is created using artificial intelligence technology. You acknowledge and agree that:

a) AI-generated content is provided as a starting point only. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all AI-generated content before use.

b) You must not submit AI-generated content as your own original work where prohibited. Many educational institutions, employers, and organizations have policies regarding the use of AI-generated content. It is your sole responsibility to understand and comply with all applicable policies, rules, and regulations.

c) AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any AI-generated content for any particular purpose.

d) You are solely responsible for the consequences of using AI-generated content. This includes, but is not limited to, academic consequences, employment consequences, or any other outcomes resulting from your use of AI-generated content.

e) Corveno does not guarantee any outcomes. We make no representations or warranties that use of our Service will result in college admission, job offers, salary increases, scholarship awards, or any other desired outcome.

3.3 Web Search Functionality

Our Service may use web search capabilities to find job descriptions, company information, and other publicly available data. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information obtained through web searches. You should independently verify any important information.

4. User Responsibilities and Conduct

4.1 Acceptable Use

You agree to use Corveno only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

a) Use the Service to create content that is false, misleading, defamatory, fraudulent, or that misrepresents your qualifications, experience, or credentials;

b) Submit AI-generated content as entirely your own original work in contexts where such use is prohibited or constitutes academic dishonesty, fraud, or misrepresentation;

c) Use the Service to violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights;

d) Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other accounts, or computer systems;

e) Use the Service to transmit any malware, viruses, or other malicious code;

f) Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service;

g) Use automated means (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the Service without our express written permission;

h) Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our express written permission;

i) Use the Service to generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable;

j) Impersonate any person or entity or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;

k) Collect or store personal data about other users without their consent.

4.2 Content Accuracy and Honesty

You represent and warrant that:

a) All information you provide to the Service (including resume content, personal information, and other inputs) is truthful and accurate;

b) You will not use the Service to fabricate credentials, experiences, skills, or achievements that you do not possess;

c) You will review and edit all AI-generated content to ensure it accurately represents your actual qualifications and experiences;

d) You understand that misrepresenting your qualifications to educational institutions or employers may have serious legal and professional consequences.

4.3 Compliance with Third-Party Policies

You acknowledge that educational institutions, employers, scholarship organizations, and other entities may have their own policies regarding the use of AI-generated content. You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with all applicable third-party policies. Corveno is not responsible for any consequences you may face for violating such policies.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

5.1 Corveno Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, functionality, design, and branding, is owned by Corveno and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our express written permission.

5.2 User Content

You retain ownership of any content you provide to the Service (such as your resume text, personal information, and other inputs). By providing content to the Service, you grant Corveno a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, process, and store your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

5.3 AI-Generated Content

Content generated by our AI tools based on your inputs belongs to you. However, you acknowledge that:

a) Similar content may be generated for other users with similar inputs;

b) AI-generated content may not be eligible for copyright protection under current law;

c) You are responsible for any modifications you make to AI-generated content.

5.4 Feedback

If you provide us with any feedback, suggestions, or ideas regarding the Service, you grant us an unrestricted, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use such feedback for any purpose without compensation to you.

6. Subscription and Payment Terms

6.1 Free and Paid Services

Corveno offers both free and paid subscription tiers. Certain features are available only to paid subscribers. Current pricing and feature availability are displayed on our website.

6.2 Subscription Billing

AUTOMATIC RENEWAL NOTICE: Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually, as applicable) unless you cancel before the renewal date. You will be charged the then-current subscription fee using the payment method on file.

6.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods.

6.4 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change our subscription prices at any time. If we change prices, we will provide you with at least 30 days' notice before the new prices take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the price change constitutes your acceptance of the new prices.

6.5 Refund Policy

All subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us at hello@corveno.io within 30 days of the charge.

6.6 Payment Processing

Payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. By providing payment information, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. We do not store your complete credit card information on our servers.

6.7 Failed Payments

If a payment fails, we may suspend your access to paid features until payment is successfully processed. We may attempt to charge your payment method multiple times before suspending access.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

7.1 "As Is" Basis

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CORVENO DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

a) IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT;

b) WARRANTIES THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS;

c) WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR COMPLETENESS OF ANY CONTENT OR INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICE;

d) WARRANTIES THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR EXPECTATIONS.

7.2 No Guarantee of Outcomes

CORVENO DOES NOT GUARANTEE ANY SPECIFIC OUTCOMES FROM USE OF THE SERVICE. We make no representations or warranties that use of our Service will result in:

a) Admission to any educational institution;

b) Receipt of any scholarship or financial aid;

c) Job offers or interviews;

d) Salary increases or successful negotiations;

e) Any other desired career or educational outcome.

7.3 AI Limitations

You acknowledge that AI technology has inherent limitations and may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate content. You agree to review all AI-generated content carefully before use.

7.4 Third-Party Content

The Service may include links to third-party websites or content. We do not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for any third-party content.

8. Limitation of Liability

8.1 Limitation of Damages

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CORVENO AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

a) Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities;

b) Academic consequences, including rejection, rescission of admission, or disciplinary action;

c) Employment consequences, including job loss, termination, or failure to be hired;

d) Reputational harm;

e) Emotional distress;

f) Any other damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

8.2 Cap on Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL CORVENO'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO CORVENO IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).

8.3 Basis of the Bargain

You acknowledge that the limitations of liability in this Section reflect a reasonable allocation of risk and are a fundamental basis of the bargain between you and Corveno.

8.4 Jurisdictional Limitations

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Corveno and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or related to:

a) Your use of the Service;

b) Your violation of these Terms;

c) Your violation of any applicable law or regulation;

d) Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights;

e) Any content you submit to or generate through the Service;

f) Any misrepresentation in your use of AI-generated content.

10. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to our collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Term and Termination

11.1 Term

These Terms are effective until terminated by either you or Corveno.

11.2 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at hello@corveno.io or through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

11.3 Termination by Corveno

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice, including if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms.

11.4 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

a) All licenses granted to you under these Terms will immediately terminate;

b) You must cease all use of the Service;

c) We may delete your account and all associated data, subject to our data retention policies and legal obligations;

d) Sections 5, 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, and 14 shall survive termination.

12. Dispute Resolution

12.1 Informal Resolution

Before filing any formal legal action, you agree to first contact us at hello@corveno.io and attempt to resolve any dispute informally for at least 30 days.

12.2 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Indiana, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

12.3 Jurisdiction

Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Tippecanoe County, Indiana. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

12.4 Class Action Waiver

YOU AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEEDINGS WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. If for any reason a claim proceeds in court rather than arbitration, you waive any right to a jury trial.

13. General Provisions

13.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other agreements expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Corveno regarding the Service.

13.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

13.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.

13.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.

13.5 Notices

13.6 Force Majeure

Corveno shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, government actions, or internet or telecommunications failures.

15.1 Academic Integrity Notice

IMPORTANT: Many educational institutions have academic integrity policies that may prohibit or restrict the use of AI-generated content in applications, essays, and other submissions. Violations of academic integrity policies can result in serious consequences, including:

  • Rejection of your application
  • Rescission of admission
  • Expulsion
  • Notation on your academic record
  • Loss of scholarships or financial aid

It is your sole responsibility to:

a) Understand your institution's policies regarding AI-generated content;

b) Use Corveno's tools in compliance with all applicable policies;

c) Ensure that any content you submit accurately represents your own thoughts, experiences, and abilities;

d) Disclose your use of AI assistance if required by the institution.

15.2 College Application Content

For college application essays and related content, Corveno is designed to help you brainstorm ideas, organize your thoughts, and improve your writing. The final submitted content must be your own authentic work that accurately represents who you are. You should:

a) Use AI-generated suggestions as inspiration, not as final content;

b) Rewrite and personalize all content in your own voice;

c) Ensure all experiences, achievements, and personal details are truthful;

d) Never submit content that misrepresents your abilities or experiences.

15.3 Scholarship Applications

Similar principles apply to scholarship applications. Scholarship fraud can have legal consequences in addition to academic consequences. You agree to use Corveno's scholarship tools ethically and honestly.

16. Special Provisions for Employment Content

16.1 Employment Applications

Content generated for job applications, resumes, and cover letters must accurately represent your actual qualifications, experience, and skills. You may not use Corveno to:

a) Fabricate work experience, education, or credentials;

b) Claim skills or certifications you do not possess;

c) Misrepresent dates of employment, job titles, or responsibilities;

d) Create false references or recommendations.

16.2 Salary Negotiation Content

Corveno may provide salary data and negotiation email templates. You acknowledge that:

a) Salary data is based on publicly available information and may not be accurate for your specific situation;

b) You should independently verify salary information before negotiations;

c) Corveno is not responsible for the outcomes of any salary negotiations;

d) You should consult with appropriate professionals for major financial decisions.

16.3 No Professional Advice

Corveno does not provide legal, financial, tax, or professional career advice. The Service is for informational and educational purposes only. For professional advice, consult qualified professionals in the relevant field.
